Oikodomein HKBP dalam Merevitalisasi Misi Eklesiologis Secara Holistik Global bagi Penuntasan Amanat Agung

Abstract

This study analyzes the ecclesiology of HKBP in dialogue with the concept of oikodomein as a theological foundation for the vitalization of congregations amid religious pluralism in Indonesia. The research is motivated by the tension between HKBP’s effort to preserve its Christocentric identity and the need to respond constructively to a diverse social context. The method employed is qualitative, using a literature-based approach through the study of relevant theological and ecclesiological sources. This study aims to formulate a contextual and transformative church mission strategy grounded in oikodomein as a dynamic and participatory process of church building. Previous studies have tended to rigidly separate internal congregational strengthening from social-pluralistic relations. This research demonstrates that oikodomein offers an integrative paradigm that combines spiritual formation, congregational participation, interreligious dialogue, and social responsibility without compromising theological integrity. The novelty of this study lies in its dialectical synthesis between internal vitalization and mission orientation based on oikodomein.
