Kejujuran di Tengah Kebisingan Hoaks: Kajian Hermeneutik Amsal 16:13

This article stems from the phenomenon of hoaxes that have been rampant lately. In a literature search, no discussion of honesty in combating hoaxes has been found from the perspective of Proverbs 16:13. Discussion of this text is often associated only with thematic functions. Based on the hermeneutic method of the wisdom literature subgenre, this study finds three important points. First, honesty is the moral foundation of true leadership. Second, honesty is the foundation of trust between leaders and those they lead. Third, honesty maintains responsible communication ethics. This study has implications for all believers, especially leaders, to build an honest lifestyle and as an evaluation to maintain the quality of life of believers.
