Dialektika Kitab Apokaliptik dalam Narasi Perjanjian Baru dan Implikasinya terhadap Relasi Sejarah Agama Kristen

This study examines the dialectic of apocalyptic narratives in the New Testament and their implications for reconstructing Christian historiography. Apocalyptic narrative is not treated as an isolated eschatological discourse, but as an interpretive framework that interacts with historical narrative. The analysis identifies a dialectical structure between historical and eschatological dimensions that shapes a non-linear and teleological understanding of time. The interpenetration of eschatological elements in the Gospels presents an eschatology that is existential and actual. Symbolism in the Book of Revelation functions as a social critique against hegemonic power while opening possibilities for historical transformation. The apocalyptic perspective constructs history as a process directed toward cosmic restoration. These findings indicate the need for an integrative historiographical approach that accommodates narrative, symbolic, and theological dimensions in understanding Christian history.
