Kolose 3:18 - 4:1 Sebagai Jawaban Terhadap Hegemoni Maskulinitas Kepala Keluarga

Jemaat Kolose hidup dalam budaya rumah tangga Greko-Roma yang kental dengan hegemoni maskulinitas kepala keluarga, sehingga istri, anak, dan budak mengalami perlakuan yang sewenang-wenang. Kekristenan tentu tidak mengicinkan hal semacam ini terjadi dalam umah tangga kristen. Artikel ini berupaya membuktikan bahwa Kolose 3:18 – 4:1 dipakai oleh Paulus untuk menangani hegemoni maskulinitas pada masa itu. Metode yang dipakai ialah hermeneutika genre epistolari. Kajian terhadap Kolose 3:18 – 4:1 dengan memperhatikan struktur, gramatika, maupun konteks budaya menunjukkan bahwa Paulus menggunakan formula inferior-superior dalam struktur aturan rumah tangga, memberikan nilai yang baru dalam peran masing-masing anggota, dan mendasarkan segala tindakan pada superioritas Kristus. Paulus tetap menghormati keberadaan hirarki sosial yang ada tetapi memodifikasi dalam hal nilai dan praktik.
